Japan Society of Northern California Honors Ira Ehrenpreis with its 2023 Visionary Award for his Pioneering Leadership in Impact Investing and the Global Sustainability Community

At its 37th “Award of Hon­or” Gala, the Japan Soci­ety of North­ern Cal­i­for­nia pre­sent­ed the pres­ti­gious 2023 Vision­ary Award to Ira Ehren­preis for his bold lead­er­ship in dri­ving for­ward the field of impact invest­ing, as well as forg­ing part­ner­ships across ven­ture and impact com­mu­ni­ties, both nation­al­ly and glob­al­ly, in sup­port of the ener­gy tran­si­tion and sustainability.

Ira is the Founder and Man­ag­ing Part­ner of DBL Part­ners, one of lead­ing impact invest­ing ven­ture cap­i­tal firms in the world, that man­ages more than $1 bil­lion of cap­i­tal. As a vision­ary and pio­neer, Ira has been cen­tral to the growth of Impact Invest­ing and has invest­ed in oppor­tu­ni­ties that have reshaped entire indus­tries and deliv­ered not only top-tier ven­ture returns but enabled a pro­found leap for­ward in the fight against cli­mate change.
