Brain­Scope is a med­ical neu­rotech­nol­o­gy com­pa­ny that has devel­oped a series of hand­held, sim­ple-to-use, non-inva­sive instru­ments that can aid med­ical pro­fes­sion­als in rapid­ly, accu­rate­ly, quan­ti­ta­tive­ly, and objec­tive­ly assess­ing Trau­mat­ic Brain Injury(TBI), includ­ing milder forms known as con­cus­sion, at the ini­tial point of care. BrainScope’s diag­nos­tic tech­nol­o­gy plat­form is based on a qEEG(Quantitative Elec­troen­cephalo­gram) sys­tem that inte­grates data­bas­es of brain­wave record­ings with advanced devel­op­ments in Dig­i­tal Sig­nal Processing(DSP), sophis­ti­cat­ed lin­ear and non-lin­ear algo­rithms, minia­tur­ized hard­ware, and dis­pos­able head­set sen­sors. Brain­Scope’s unique devices have been cre­at­ed to meet a long-stand­ing clin­i­cal need for improved ear­ly iden­ti­fi­ca­tion, stag­ing and triage of head injured patients. In Sep­tem­ber 2016, the com­pa­ny received FDA 510(k) clear­ance (its 4th FDA clear­ance) to mar­ket its Ahead 300 diag­nos­tic prod­uct in the US market.
