Mikal Lewis is an Associate at DBL Partners, which he joined in 2021. Prior to DBL, Mikal worked as a strategic advisor and leadership fellow to Governor Ned Lamont of Connecticut. He served in the state’s COVID-19 response and lead initiatives in energy and economic development. Previously, Mikal worked for Shell Oil Company where he supported several business units in corporate finance, and business development capacities to grow Shell’s top-line revenue, reduce costs, and streamline global processes.
Additionally, Mikal is passionate about the wealth gap, and co-founded an organization called Halo which is designed to lower barriers to both entrepreneurship, and participation in private markets investing.
Mikal received his B.B.A. in finance from Georgia Southern, and his MBA from the Harvard Business School. During his MBA, Mikal held internships at Energy Impact Partners and Fifth Wall Ventures. Mikal also held leadership roles in the HBS African American Student Union, and (B.I.G.S.) Building Ideas for Generational Shifts Club.
