Lisa Hagerman

Director of Programs

Lisa is the Direc­tor of Pro­grams at DBL Part­ners. Pre­vi­ous­ly Lisa was Direc­tor of Pro­grams at DBL Investors, which she joined in 2011. Lisa is lead­ing the strat­e­gy and imple­men­ta­tion of dou­ble bot­tom line prac­tices work­ing with DBL’s port­fo­lio com­pa­nies across pub­lic pol­i­cy and reg­u­la­to­ry ini­tia­tives, envi­ron­men­tal stew­ard­ship, work­force devel­op­ment,  and com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment. She is cur­rent­ly a Board Mem­ber of Impact Cap­i­tal Man­agers, the impact invest­ing indus­try ana­log to a trade orga­ni­za­tion, which is made up of gen­er­al part­ners from the lead­ing mar­ket-rate impact funds, col­lec­tive­ly rep­re­sent­ing over $13 bil­lion in impact-focused capital.

Lisa was pre­vi­ous­ly the Direc­tor of More for Mis­sion at the Har­vard Kennedy School, a research and advo­ca­cy ini­tia­tive pro­mot­ing mis­sion invest­ing, in which she built a net­work of over 90 foun­da­tions rep­re­sent­ing over $38 bil­lion in total assets.  In May of 2012, More for Mis­sion merged with PRI Mak­ers to form Mis­sion Investors Exchange.  Pri­or to her role at More for Mis­sion, Lisa com­plet­ed her doc­tor­ate in eco­nom­ic geog­ra­phy at Oxford Uni­ver­si­ty on Pub­lic Pen­sion Fund Invest­ment in Urban Revi­tal­iza­tion, a project sup­port­ed by the Ford and Rock­e­feller Foun­da­tions. She was pre­vi­ous­ly a Vice Pres­i­dent at Eco­nom­ic Inno­va­tion Inter­na­tion­al. In addi­tion, Lisa has ten years of bank­ing expe­ri­ence, three of which were with Wells Far­go Bank in Gov­ern­ment Rela­tions where she worked with the com­mu­ni­ty devel­op­ment depart­ment and pro­mot­ed the Bank’s minor­i­ty lend­ing ini­tia­tives. She worked at Citibank for sev­en years in the Latin Amer­i­can Mar­ket­ing Division.

Lisa received her B.A. from Buck­nell Uni­ver­si­ty, her M.A. in polit­i­cal sci­ence from the Uni­ver­si­ty of North Car­oli­na at Chapel Hill, and a Ph.D. in eco­nom­ic geog­ra­phy from Oxford University.
