Men­lo Micro intro­duced today the world’s first micro­me­chan­i­cal pow­er switch capa­ble of han­dling 10A in a minia­ture 5mm x 5mm sur­face-mount pack­age. With its ultra-low 0.010 ohm con­tact resis­tance, the new MM9200 is the low­est-loss and high­est pow­er capa­ble micro-mechan­i­cal switch ever cre­at­ed and is poised to rev­o­lu­tion­ize smart pow­er and ener­gy distribution.

The MM9200 inte­grates more than 400 indi­vid­ual switch­es to sup­port kilo­watts of pow­er in a small sur­face-mount pack­age. With this extreme minia­tur­iza­tion and pow­er den­si­ty, Men­lo Micro will play a piv­otal role in increas­ing the ener­gy effi­cien­cy, func­tion­al­i­ty, and reli­a­bil­i­ty of a wide array of smart pow­er and ener­gy dis­tri­b­u­tion applications.

The MM9200 also tar­gets a wide range of appli­ca­tions includ­ing indus­tri­al automa­tion, smart build­ing con­trols, advanced ener­gy man­age­ment sys­tems, and many oth­er space-con­strained pow­er dis­tri­b­u­tion appli­ca­tions.
