Investors discuss fighting global warming

Investors from across the US have gath­ered in New York to dis­cuss invest­ing in sus­tain­able devel­op­ment, as advo­cat­ed by the Unit­ed Nations. The agen­da includes mea­sures to fight glob­al warming.

About 200 peo­ple attend­ed the first-of-its-kind gath­er­ing at the UN head­quar­ters on Thursday.

The orga­niz­ers are the Wall Street Jour­nal and a UN body.

The CEO of a Boston-based fund report­ed a boost in invest­ment in com­pa­nies that pro­vide sta­ble sup­plies of food and water and in firms involved in rais­ing ener­gy efficiency.
