Interested in Social Entrepreneurship or Impact Investing?

If the answer is yes, then we encour­age you to join us for the inau­gur­al NVCA Social Entre­pre­neur­ship Sum­mit on May 14th from 10 am – 1 pm in San Fran­cis­co, CA (in con­junc­tion with NVCA’s Ven­tureScape con­fer­ence) where we will con­vene lead­ers from the social entrepreneurship/​impact invest­ing sec­tor and phil­an­thropic-ori­ent­ed ven­ture capitalists.

The goal of this ses­sion is to cre­ate a forum where like mind­ed indi­vid­u­als can meet and learn about areas of mutu­al inter­est, whether they be edu­ca­tion reform, the envi­ron­ment, pover­ty alle­vi­a­tion, glob­al devel­op­ment, etc.  Already con­firmed to par­tic­i­pate are: The Skoll Foun­da­tion, Omid­yar Net­work, Lega­cy Ven­ture, DRK Foun­da­tion, EF of Sil­i­con Val­ley and Austin, Edna Clark Foun­da­tion, Benetech​.org, Ashoka, Endeav​or​.org, DBL Part­ners, New Schools Ven­ture Fund, Green­light Fund, Ven­ture Phil­an­thropy Part­ners, Full Cir­cle Fund, Andreessen Horowitz, among others.

Ashoka, the glob­al net­work of lead­ing social entre­pre­neurs, is look­ing for VC lead­ers to par­tic­i­pate and con­tribute in their sig­na­ture event, the Ashoka Future Forum, held at the New­se­um in Wash­ing­ton, DC on May 30th & 31st where over 350 lead­ing social and busi­ness entre­pre­neurs, phil­an­thropists and stel­lar agents of change, will come togeth­er for a cou­ple days to think BIG and work togeth­er to cre­ate a bet­ter future. Many of the best social entre­pre­neurs in the US will be part of the event and they are hun­gry for feed­back, part­ner­ship, men­tor­ship or mind­share from the VC com­mu­ni­ty. Ashoka is open to work­ing with ven­ture cap­i­tal­ists on how to cre­ate a plat­form for col­lab­o­ra­tion.
